Diablo Basics Parents Club Mission Statement

The Diablo Basics Parents Club (DBPC) mission is to enhance every one of our children’s educational experiences through a variety of means, including soliciting volunteers for school services, raising funds for educational and staff support, and offering social gatherings that bring our school community together.

The DBPC uses Konstella for all parent communication, as a school directory, and for volunteer signups. Please use the following link to request an account. Note you must have a student enrolled at Monte Gardens to join this group.

DBPC General Membership Meetings & Agendas

DBPC is a 100% volunteer operated organization.  Every Monte Gardens parent/guardian is automatically a member of the parents' club and all are encouraged to attend the general membership meeting held in the Multi-Use room at the school.  Each year, Parents' Club coordinates a number of events to promote community spirit and raise much-needed funding to support our mission.  We welcome your participation and ideas.  Please join us!  Meeting agendas are emailed to parents in advance of the meeting.

20-Hour Volunteer Commitment

Parent volunteers are an essential and valued part of the Diablo Basics Program at Monte Gardens.  Diablo Basics Parents’ Club (DBPC), the principal, and your child’s teacher rely on the generous support of parents to provide classroom support, to help with community events, to participate in fundraising, and to serve on school committees.  This support is one way which distinguishes Monte Gardens Elementary as a school of choice.

Monte Gardens expects each family to commit to a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service each school year, the equivalent of 2 hours per month.   There are many ways that these hours can be fulfilled and are flexible to accommodate families with one working parent or two.
