Our Principal

Message from the Principal

Dear Monte Gardens Families and Community,

Welcome to another new school year! It is with great pride and pleasure I continue my role as principal of Monte Gardens Elementary. We embark on a new journey as our school makes a transition from Back to Basics school of choice to an International Baccalaureate Primary Year Programme school of choice. As we make this transition, we are still committed to upholding our legacy, tradition, and vision of Monte Gardens Elementary School which ensures every child success through the support of school and home. I am honored to lead such a wonderful staff of dedicated educators and am excited to be working with such wonderful and brilliant students.  Monte Garden’s greatest strengths are the talented staff and the support we receive from our parents and community.  As parents, guardians, and family, you are your child’s first and greatest teacher. Together as a school community —school and home — students will succeed!

We at Monte Gardens are committed to providing a caring and safe learning environment which educate the minds along with developing the character of all students. Expectations are high; both academically and behaviorally. Our staff continues to provide a powerful and challenging curriculum and instructional activities designed to meet the educational needs of students which allows them to be successful in reaching these expectations. Communication between home and school is valued. You will receive a monthly school newsletter (ROAR) from me, your principal. Along with teacher-created communications including, emails, phone calls, notes, and progress reports - it is our goal to keep you up to date with what is going on at our school. Are you subscribed to Remind? Do you follow us on Twitter? These are other important ways to stay in touch with what is current. The school website will be kept up to date with important dates, news, and other information. “Back to School Night” is held the first full week of school so parents have the needed information to support their child in his/her current classroom as soon as possible. Parent-Teacher conferences will be held in December focusing on the first report of progress for the year.  Academic goals for continued growth and success are established together.

As the Principal of Monte Gardens Elementary School, my door is always open to you. Educating children through exceptional school programs is our business and our passion.  Your child is important to us.  You are important to us.  Together as a community let us work together to best support students to be as successful as they can!
